All of the people I have chosen to celebrate black history month have made a contribution in their own unique way to our dream of a better future for all humanity. Reimagining the snowball block with vintage linens

Vintage linens are a lovely source of hand embroidery. Sadly, as people pass on a lot of these beautiful items are being thrown out. If they end up in charity shops, they are a great opportunity for quilters to start a stash of hand embroidered items, and to upcycle them for contemporary use. I think our grandmothers would be happy to see their treasures being treasured and used.
